New search index from Google – Caffeine
Caffeine – is an innovation in the search index of Google. With its help you can receive fresher search results (up to 50% more). No matter what it is: news, or a message on a blog or forum, now you find links to this content much faster than before. When searching for something, Google doesn’t search the whole Web; it just goes through the search index list just as it would go through a book. Then why would Google need a completely new index? Content is growing in its size and quantity, ever day new images, videos and news are constantly filling the web. This is all appearing in real time. A statistically common webpage is much more complex than it was before. And also users are striving to find more fresher and relevant content, at the same time the authors of a publication want to immediately index their page, as soon as they refresh their website. To match the requirements of the users and keep up with the evolution of the Web Google creates caffeine. Before the old index of Google had a couple of levels, some of which were updated faster than others. The main level of index is updated approximately once in every couple of weeks. The old index used to analyze all the pages on the Web which is why the user got only older webpages. With the help of Caffeine, Google is analyzing web pages in small amounts at a time allowing the index to be updated constantly. When finding new web pages or new information on already existing ones the robot instantly adds them to the search index. Therefore, the user will find the information much faster than before. This does not depend on when and where the information was posted. Also Caffeine enables page indexing at a much faster speed. Wait for this Google innovation in only a couple of months!
